how much circulation do you need?

    Is circulation in a 50 gallon tank a nescesity i have a small pump that is suctioned on the glass is that enough? what are the worst possible things that can happen if its not enough circulation?

    you want about 40-50x turn over. there's a large *good* range.

    You just don't want your LPS corals to get blasted. You want various sources of flow crashing into each other to break it up and make it more random.

    So it depends on what you have in your tank.

    You have one Frogspawn... any SPS or softies?
