I have a 90 gallon with mostly soft corals... button polyps, kenya trees, mushrooms, etc....I wanted to get a koralia pump but not sure what number to get 3 (850 gph) or 4 (1200 gph). I heard the 4 might be too much flow for the corals but I dont want to get the 3 and have to upgrade in the future...Which one should I go with??? thanks..

Well I'm not sure if this will be to much help but I have a 2 and a 1 on my 55 gallon I just have to pointed towards the front of the glass. even if you went with the 4 you could aim it in a way that it is not causing to much flow for the corals.

Go with the 4! The water flow produced by the Koralia is done so to disburse the flow, more so than by your ordinary power heads, plus as RHorton mentioned, deflect the water of part of your tanks glass to have more water flow to more of your tank, reducing the potential threat of injuring or knocking over corals and rock!

I personally don't think the 1200 would be too much, actually I like more flow - the more the better.

I use a danner 5,600 gph return (losing maybe 1,500 gph to head pressure) and in the tank are three Vortech MP40's pushing 3,000 gph each. all in 180 gallon tank. One Vortech is on constant and the other two are set on a the wave mode so the alternate between 500 gph and 3,000 gph every 40 seconds or so. My suggestion would be the 4.

Yo Coral Reefer -- my wife and I are huge buffett fans. My tag would be "I am growing older, but not up"

Good point about the disbursment of the flow.
