I have a 12g nano that is temporarily housing a small pair of clowns, a peppermint shrimp and an emo yellow clown goby. It has about 18 lbs of live rock (possibly a little less). I currently have a scarlet hermit, blue legged hermit and an emerald crab. I just put in two nass nails today but will probably get rid of one and replace it with a turbo snail, as things are beginning to get awfully green in my tank.

My question is, should I shoot for more crabs or even two turbo snails? I was looking at getting a couple of interesting crabs but didn't want to over do it.

More hermits maybe 6 total, keep the nassarius they are detritus eaters not algae. Get the turbo also.

If you are ever curious about your cuc, just shoot john at reefcleaners an email. He will tell you exactly what you need.

Does anyone have any links to CuC recommendations other than John at reefcleaners? Living in Canada, I can't use him for shipping, and I wouldn't want to waste his time when no business can possibly result in it for him.

Well, I wouldn't count on more turbo snails to help out with your "green" issue. That is probably a water parameter thing. I also know turbo's often die, upside down, and rot and stink, and they are big, that could actually foul a smaller tank. I also think in you would certainly want to keep your nassarius snails,(love them), keep your hermits small, and maybe get a brittle star. Just some input for you.
