Just curious how much your skimmer is pulling....

Please try to be as specific as possible and list the skimmer model...

Mine is a Current usa Fission rated for 225 gallons. Recirculation skimmer with moded needle wheel.

It looks like i am pulling about 125-140 ML per day.

...Trying to figure out if that is good bad or average. Man does that stuff smell good :)

it's totally on a sliding scale depending on how wet you skim... i.e. how high your cup is. you should be able to adjust that however you want really...

I have mine set so that it takes about 3 weeks before I have to empty it. Major dark stuff. I've also had it set to need emptied every other day and that was much clearer...

So how much per day? I have no idea, but I know it's not a given...

    does that help at all?

Perdhil, I have the same skimmer as yours. What do you have inside of your return section? do you know how to raise the water level in the reaction chamber at all? for some reason mine seems to get lower, and lower maybe its my pump i've had it for like 2 years now. But I cant complain, though my cup is way low, the top is about half an inch above the top of the skimmer itself because my water level is so low. But im still getting some great skimmate though.

Yea, i was thinking about all the other variables especially wet vs dry and realized its an impossible comparison. I run mine pretty dry. My bio load is medium

In any case, i guess nevermind! haha, it dark enough

And that would be a horrible thing to do to anyone....to dump that in their car. damn... you would hvae to sell the car for sure

I have to empty mine about once a month or so.
Mine is a ASM G4+. I pull about 1/3 a gallon per week.

Another overlooked factor is how much condensate you collect off your skimmer cup. Mine pulls a lot of air and my cup is always fogged. Water runs down and fills the cup. With out a doubt, part of what is in my cup is condensed evaporation.
