While I'm waiting for deliveries for my upgrade, I've been reviewing my filtration setup for installation in the new tank.

150 Gallon in the display, 16 Gallons for the sump, 20 Gallons for the fuge for a total of 186 gallons

    • Protein skimmer (rated for 300 Gallon)
    • Chemi-Pure
    • Black Diamond Carbon
    • UV
    • Two Little Fishies Phosban Reactor 150 using combo of Phosban and NP pellets.
Not listed live rock and sand - Only concerned with chemical/mechanical filtration.

What is a GOOD - not minimum - filtration articles to maintain a healthy tank?

You should be fine. IMO the mech/chem filtration is less important than the bio filtration. You can support a SW tank completely on a nice amount of quality Live Rock & a skimmer only (+ circulation). The reactor will help keep PO4 in check so that's a plus.

I run my 55g reef solely on 65lbs of LR, a Remora skimmer, phosban 150 reactor (running Chemi Pure Elite media), & 2 Koralia Evo's.

FW means of filtration like canisters or HOB filters will just become a Nitrate source & the constant maintenence of them will just end up a headache. IMO you don't need any of that type of filtration if you're thinking of that route.
