How much flow for a 72g bow front

    Question is nhow many gph would I need to get.

    for the return?? not much prob around 5X DT volume! count in head loss and a 500GPH pump should be ok

    So I would need a 360gph glass hole overflow and probably a 500gph pump

    nah, opposite if anything, you want the overflow to be able to handle more than your return pump can do, kinda like a safety valve that way. Your tank will only drain as much as is pumped into it, whereas your return pump will just pump no matter what. I'd do at least equal to overflow to return pump, after head loss you may be ok, but IMO I'd feel better with a oversized overflow compared to the return, just in case something gets blocked.

    So a 600-700 gph overflow and a 500gph pump what pump to get tho

    mag drive 5 or 7, not sure, EHEIM is nicer but pricier! sure there are more options

    yeah, def, you want around 5X DT turnover rate, that just gives you a safety net so to speak.
