I want to get another powerhead to increase flow in my 29gallon long...
36 x 12 x 16. I already have an aquaclear 70 in there. Im looking at koralia, and am wondering if I should get a #2 or #3. Any suggestions?

I would get 2 of the 2s for a 36inch tank. I'm afraid the aquaclear really isn't contributing the flow

An aquaclear 70 puts out 300 gph, you get some nice surface flow from that. As far as wavemaking and currents I too would go with 2 of the #2's. That way you will be less likey to have dead spots

Make sure you protect the bottom of the Aquaclear 70. I don't think they come with a good defused intake grill. I used to have them in my tank instead of Koralia 3s. I had a Flame Angel get sucked up against the intake. Unfortunately I didn't catch it in time and lost him. Stupid me didn't learn my lesson and is also sucked up my Hepatus tang. I caught it in time and was able to pry him out once I turned the pump off. He had grill lines on his body for about a week and a few white spots as a result. He's doing great today. The Aquaclear 70s have been demoted to water mixing and my protein skimmer. Definitely my stupidest mistake so far with my reef tank.
