I have the skimmer and don't use the other parts. I attached my pump right to the bottom. It's designed to hang on the back of a tank. I use mine in the sump.

With that sump, the return will go far right. Intake is on the left.

I am not sure the best setup on the sump. If you are wanting a refugium I think I would put it on the right side and the return pump in the middle. The only reason I would say this is, I don't think you would want all your flow going through your refugium. It wouldnt be much of a refuge for your copapods and plankton if you have all the flow sweeping them away, just a thought. Maybe someone else can chime in on this..

Your skimmer should not be in the return section. It should be in a section that maintains a 100% constant level from a baffle.

The two most common sump setups I have seen are the "old" style inlet/skimmer section, 'fuge, return section and then the "new" style that most are going towards inlet/skimmer, return in the middle, 'fuge on opposite side.

So can someone tell me why there are 2 inlet pipes..maybe 2 tanks? What parts do i need to finish this sump? I think i would want a large fuge in tje middle but would not have room for any type of quality skimmer if i went that route.

A lot of larger tanks have dual overflows, so one inlet per overflow. You may only need and use one.

As far as skimmer, it is very tough to tell dimensions from your photo, but perhaps if you remove the second inlet (the one by the middle of that section), you may have enough room for a decent sized skimmer. What are the dimensions of that section?

The only problem I see is that the right compartment is extremely small (not much room for a fuge). I think the small size would better serve a return pump.

Yep. It probably had dual overflow. You can just do one pipe. There is space in front of both pipes that should allow for the Seaclone to fit.

there is 2 pipes incase it goes under a duel overflow tank, or a single oveflow that you can split for 2 filter socks, what ever you want. you dont have to use one of you dont want too, it wont break the sump.

The sump is 25" long,11" wide and 16" high. 6" From wall to first baffle on inlet side. 13.5" From 1st to 2nd baffle and 3.8" from last wall to last baffle.
