how much lugol drops for 8oz cup?

    so instead of using 30 drops for a gallon of water, im using a cup to dip, how many drops of lugol so you guys recommend?

    example - I have just checked this for you

    my coffee mug holds 320 mils - which is just under 1/3rd of a litre
    there are 4 litres in a gallon

    30 drops per gallon divided by 4 = 7.5 drops per litre
    divide that by 3 = 2.5

    thus if I was using that coffee mug - I would add 2 drops of lugols

    but it depends on how much liquid your cup holds

    a measuring jug that you can liberate from the kitchen (or buy a new one for this purpose) would be a better option
    then the calculations would be more accurate
