Hey everyone. I have been preparing to sell my 110 gallon tank and have moved alot of my sand and rock over to a 29 gallon tank. I was just curious to see how much of a cycle should I expect in the 29 using the sand and rock from my 110? I also have a striped damsel in the tank. Thanks!

Really depends on how you moved the sand. Did you bring it over like pieces of pie or just mix it all up? However much the sand got disturbed will probably dictate the size of the cycle

The 110 is still full of water and running so I just had to scoop the sand into a bucket that I filled half up with water. Should I expect the 29 to go through a full on cycle or should it be shorter?

It will be shorter, but you should probably expect a mini-cycle of sorts
