how much would you pay?

so I have a close family friend who is getting rid of his 180 with custom made 8 t5 hood and stand... I really want to buy it so he told me he would give it to me for half of the regular price that they go for...

Well how much should I offer him. hes a close friend so i dont wanna rip him off otherwise id say $1

Honestly, I would tell him to pick the price or find out exactly what half of the cost for the tank and stand is. A tank isn't worth a friend.

 

I wouldnt go higher then 700-900$ IMO, Looking at tanks a standard 220 is 1000$ at petco, i believe the 180 was 800.

 

Half price of what? If everything you have a great deal if you are going to use it all. It sounds like you need to look up the price of a 180 tank with stand and canopy. Then decide from there.

 

im not trying to rip him... he is one of our top three customers at the business and we are quite close friends. im just asking what is market value for them

 

I am asking what you guys think is reasonable... I can simply google the price but idk what the custom made t5 hood is worth

 

My bad, I would be willing to pay about 650 for the tank, stand, and hood. The DIY lights really depends on what he used.
