I'm so OCD about my tank and I'm always constantly moving this, shifting that, breaking this, making a mess, causing mini rock slides, knocking this over, etc. Just wanted to know I'm not the only one who re-aquascapes like every week.

I have a ton of extra base rock but when I put it in I just hate how stark white it looks against all my other rock. I go through this mess of putting it all in & then I take it out again, blah.

Help me feel less nuts :)

When i run out of other stuff to do to my tank. So about every 2 days :)

Actually, when i need to make space for something that I just had to have. Once every few months.

I agree with the sentiment "as much as I need more space".

When I need room I move a few rocks around, but never the base rocks in the sand. Only the upper level rocks. I hate reaquascaping, it is such a stressful thing with all the fish, clams, coral....ugh I hate it!

Thanks everyone now I know I'm crazy :)

I always end up wanting to make little minor adjustments & cause like a giant rockslide, I have to laugh when it happens but it def is annoying.

I also do it when I think I had a brilliant idea of how to aquascape the tank. Half way through I think to myself "matt, your an idiot the tank looks like crap and the rock looks awful. Way to go dip****."

As soon as you find what you like, don't touch a thing. Even a simple rock rotation will lead to you never getting the rock the way it was again.

I will move some smaller rocks around and have only really reaquascaped twice in 3 years. I will move around corals to get them more happy and move smaller rocks around as needed, but I'm of the opinion that the less you mess with the tank, the better it does. I don't like to have my hands and arms in the tank all of the time.
