how often should i change my carbon

    once your finished cycling if you have carbon in , change it. after that i do mine once a month.

    I do mine when I start to notice that "ocean smell" picking back up. Usually around 2 months or so.

    k thanks guys

    what kind of water should i use to rinse out my filter media

    how long should i wait before i put shrums in and is that a good starter coral or do u suggest something elsa

    Shrooms, green star polyps any softies really are good starters. I change my carbon once a month! i just buy a huge thing online for cheap and order some bags which are even cheaper i get 4 for like 5 bucks or something! I use sink water to wash mine out, and i wash them out about once a week.
