how often to change carbon in marineland hot magnum

    I have had the filter running 3-4 months I just changed the carbon tonight for the first time. How often should it be changed though?

    prob monthly! don't have that but 30 days seems kinda standard!

    Every 2 weeks. after that it starts being colonized by bacteria and and stops doing the job it was intended.

    Very much Agreed.
    8) 2 to 3 weeks..give or take....other variables do/will apply.... 3 to 4 months, I'll bet it was looking like mud. :p I try my best to do it twice a month. I can tell when I let it go to long.:( No Bueno.
