    cool thread!
Well, i've got 2 blue, and a yellow tail damsel that's been with me since the beginning. About, 3 1/2 years old now and they've been through 3 cycles. Oh, and couple years back i had a plumbing problem and burned out all my pumps. Was months before i had the money to buy new ones so figured i'd have to start over but they're still here and kickin. Tough little bastards. One of these days i'll be able to afford some real fish!

6....8....12 years....that is amazing to me.

Great Job. You guys are definately doing something right!

I know I need to upsize soon but seeing my fish make it to 3 years will be pretty exciting to me let alone 12 years. That is cool.

We've got some Channel Catfish in the neighborhood pond behind our house that are older than the neighborhood. I'd say mid-20's year old. I know they're still there and have always been there because we feed them commercial catfish food a couple of times a month (in the warm months...) and we can recognize the individuals and stuff. One of the largest guys I named "Goliath" used to come eat out of my hand. The larger cats are about 15-20lbs, and yes, I've gone fishing and caught them numerous times  They've spawned at some point, because we've got some 3-5" fish in the drainage creek connecting the ponds, as well as 2-5lb cats eating now. Does that count? :D

I have a clown that I have had for 7 years now but is at least 8 years old. He has been through hell and survived. That fish is tough and I have gone to great lengths to keep him alive and well cuz he deserves it

clown and yellowtail damsel, it was my first tank. ended up at my parents house during a move. they are 7-8 years old. still have to go over there about once every sixth months to do maint. i dont see how they are still alive. my mom feeds them, and does top offs, no water changes. its only a 20 gallon tank. one time i went over there and there was barely any measurable salt in the water. My dad always makes fun of me cause all the money and time i put into my 55, and have had alot of problems while the orginal fish just wont die. will probably move the tank in with me in a few weeks.
