I'm about to make some baffles for a sump/fuge. How thick does the glass need to be?

Should be double strength and at least 3/16", 1/4" would be safer.

depends on the size of your sump, but I'd go 1/4" just to be safe, not too big of a difference in $$

I used 3/32, but if I did it again, I would go thicker. It's better to go thick than have a baffle blow out and let your DSB loose.

I am going to use 1/8" glass for baffles and 1/4" on the side of my fuge. Its a sump/fuge combo in a 20g long.

I have 1/4" glass baffles on my 75g sump. Each compartment is 100% solid even if I only fill water in one section. Most times the water pressure is even due to the sump being filled in all chambers, but if 1/4" holds on mine, it will work with absolutely no worries ona smaller sump. You can use much thinner for a smaller tank, but if you use 1/4", you are extra safe.

I would use 1/4 for all the baffles, the running water does exert pressure, why chance it to save $2?
