As the title states, how tight should i thread the pvc fittings into the bulk heads?

When i screw in the fitting for the 3/4 return plumbing into the bulk head it gets tight real fast. I can maybe do 3 full turns before i need to force it to go in further and it still goes in quite a bit but i don't want it to leak.

So should i keep it as tight as i could possibly get it or let it out some so its not as tight? Thanks

    Are you using thread tape?

Just make sure you get at least 3 turns of tape on and tighten to bulkhead tight and you ll be fine.
