Have a 54gal Bowfront with a Megaaflow 1 sump. I am wanting add some cheato to the sump, but not sure how/where.

In the top chamber I the prefilter pad and rock rubble. In the middle I have a titanium heater and protein skimmer and then over in the third I have the return pump.

Ideally, I would love to create a fuge, but I am limited on space underneath the tank nad I dont think I could do one with this type of sump. I can rig up a light with no problem but just not sure how to do cheato in a sump like this. If I take out out the rock rubble (or some of it) the cheato will have a waterfall on it but not fully submerged. In the middle, I really dont want it around my heater.

    Suggestions?

You don't want it near your skimmer either. Can you take a picture of the sump?

Depending on the quality of the cheato you get, you can put it in a coarse media bag (say 800 micron-1200micron. You can also use a drilled plastic terrariums (ya can getem at any reptile place for like 4-8 bux) and have it sit in the compartment with the skimmer.

That will work too. Do you leave the light on 24 / 7?
