What material will be easy to purchase and find that i can glue to glass? and that brings me to my next question, what type of glue do i use? heres what it looks like. I want to put a piece of some material (that you recommend) on both sides every maybe 4 inches so it can hold some egg crate for a media shelf. if i dont do this, then i have to stack bioballs at the bottom and then stack filter media all the way to the top where the overflow is so its not noisy... or i could just build media shelves! so please help me on this one.

    thanks,
    ryan

and by the way, this is the trick my dad used for his 40 gallon cube. But its made of acrylic so he just got some acrylic scraps and got some acrylic glue and glued them to the two sides of the first section. But mine is glass... do you think home depot cuts glass? maybe? or lowes... idk some help would be appreciated because i cant add water in the tank till i do the gluing part of this project...

just buy some egg crate and build your own to your measurements. I made two three tiered ones for my BC 14 and 29. I used zip ties to hold it together. Fits perfectly and i can even put filter floss in the top section and the water level flows right through it

I will do this if my next question fails... Does home depot or lowes sell/cut little pieces of glass if i were to give them dimensions... ummm... say 4" by 1 1/2"? If so and if i can get a bunch of those pieces, what type of glue can i use to adhere glass on glass???

    thanks,
    Ryan

edit: I just want it to be professional looking as possible. And simple. Simplicity is key. And if i did it the way i want, i feel that maintnence on the filter pads would be a lot easier than building a whole shelf mechanism and putting the whole thing in there.
