You can use the bottle trick. Invert the top of a bottle and place some food inside and just sit and wait. He will swim inside and then you just remove the bottle with him inside.

So take a regular Deer Park water bottle? take off the lid, rip off the paper on it, put some flakes in there, and let it sit? and it has to be clear?

cut 1/3 way down from the top invert it inside of the bottle with some food, and yes clear would help. It will allow him to go inside real easy but makes it hard for him to get out.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Your best bet IMO is to try to catch him right before the lights go on, while it is still sleeping. I do not envy you at all. Please let us know how it turns how and how you did it.

You don't need glue but if you want to use it it's ok. When I did mine I just pushed the top into the bottle until it was snug. Good luck
