How to clean a brand new tank?

    I just got a brand new tank from the LFS and was wondering what procedures are there to clean it and get it ready for a reef tank?

    The LFS store owner just told me to soak it overnight in hot tap water and that should do it. Is she correct?

    if it is a brand new tank....... Ive rinsed it out with water.... not necessarily hot or cold.
