I have a 30 gallon long that I'm going to setup as a hospital tank and it's been in storage for a while so it's pretty dirty. What's the best way to clean this thing out? Btw I already tested it for leaks.

When ever i need to clean out a used tank that i buy, i fill it with water and 1-2 gallons of vinager over night, in the am take a blade to the glass everything falls right off. Then i bring the tank out side dump it and spray it really well with a hose.

After the vinegar soak, I would do a 50/50 water/bleach soak and then scrub the heck out of it, especially under the rim.

I second the 50/50 water-bleach soak. My friend did it ....rinsed & scrubbed with hot tap water for 20 mins after ...success.
