I don't have a full reef setup yet. I'm working on it slowly. I'm using R/O water and R/O SW. I still get that brown algae build up. How do I keep from getting it? Also, how do you clean behind the reef setup, once your reef is established?

Jeep, haven't had a reef but I don't think you clean behind the rocks once the tank is established. My tank has been up for 12 years and I have never made it a point to do this.

Most people don't clean back there but I do. You can see in my tank thread how my rocks are arranged to keep it somewhat clean back there. Also snails eat a great bit of it.
