How to convince your wife/mom???

    Well while talking to PufferChick about begging her mom to buy her the chromis.. A great idea for a thread came to me..

    I want you to tell me your secret to convince your wife/mom into [STRIKE]wasting[/STRIKE] spending your money in your tank..

    Here is mine:
    after giving your first argument with no success this follows...

    Moomyyyyy please!!! ( tear falling down your cheek)

    and if she says no again...( always works) don't say anything.. Look at her.. And then say... Ok mom.
    Turn around and march to your room like if your most presious thing had died..
    And close the door gently behind you. Lol

    I did that to get my 150g tank lol

    so what's your strategy?

    Well I have the upperhand over my girlfriend since my paychecks almost double hers :)

    So... even though theres some ruffled feathers I always smooth it over by telling her its for her viewing pleasure too ;)

    i just tell my parents that its stupid to slum on any piece of equipment and that u get what u pay for...and that if the aquarium doesnt have it..it will suffer and my dad has the go big or go home mentality so i do just fine!

    Yea,the you get to enjoy it and watch it grow too has alot of pull with the wife!!:thumb_up:That can usually get me what i want.

    I usually have to be so "sad" that I won't do well in school anymore.

    if they want to get something for my tank they ask me if i want ot go to the fish store. also i just say look how cool this is wouldnt this go great_____ right there. my grandma always wants to buy stuff for my aquarium though. shes so nice. she bought me my lights cause she said she was tired of my tank not having any corals. lol i love her.

    Grand parents can never say no, I love em. Its ironic thou, my parents raised me with bread and water, but want to give my kids fillet mignon(sp).
