How should I cure the newly painted back of my tank. I wanna put a clear coat or polyurethene on the back so it does not scratch when i move it or add my overflow. I sprayed it with 5 cans of flat black enamel paint. Would I be able to paint polyurethene on it with a brush or should I use spray clear coat? What did everyone else use? I dont want it to bubble if i use the polyurethene?

What he said, 5 cans?! I didn't even use up 1 can on my 120g! I didn't coat it, but taped aluminum foil over top of it to prevent out gassing.

For ease of use i would use the ole rattle can. Or spray clear coat.. Pending the size of tank and you used 5 can of paint i am sure there is a thick enough coat that will prevent from scratching....

    Just my $.02

    BEst of Luck...
