how to do it?

After upgrade from 4' tank to 6' <90 to 125> my light is short.It is a reef tanl. I use Current Orbit 48". @ 150MH and 4 54w T5. If i want to buy the same lights but 24" long I have to pay at least 460. This is crazy. Can you guys help my. How i could fill that 24" so it looks close/ Some retro's or other ideas. Please help.

 

Does it have a separator in the middle. I use 2 36'' fixtures on mine.

 

Yes, it has 3 braces every 2'. So now I have 4' light and 2' left with no light.

 

They do make 24'' Light fixtures since you have a brace every 2'

The other option is suspending the light fixtures over the aquarium as well.

 

you could try to fill the gap with a couple screw-in LED's. they should give you the penetration you need and are comparabel to MH in intensity and shimmer. if you're running open top it may be odd looking and give you a bit of a spotlight but i could also be interesting to see the lighting difference from on side to the other. also they are only $70ish each.
