It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Be careful what you wish for. It may not be ideal right now, but an anemone on the move is less than ideal. If you move the rock so the anemone is face the front it may just get up and move on you to a less favorable area.

You could aim a power head at it and it will move. My 1st bta did the same thing as soon as I added it to my tank... I put it where I wanted it and it had other plans. Fortunately mine attached its foot to the glass so I used a plastic spatula and was able to carefully remove it

yep, that's my dilemma - I can probably get it to move but didn't know if there were any tricks to create an optimal place for it to hopefully plant itself. It's so darn pretty and there it sits in the back and I have to walk up to the tank and strain around to the back to see it.

Did you end up getting it to stay where you wanted it? What did you do once you moved it to encourage it to stay where you wanted it?

Find out what music it likes then play said music by the tank in the area you want. Works everytime:cheesy: Seriously though, I had the same problem with mine so I tried to mimick the conditions it liked in other areas in regards to flow and light. Once it was at an area that I could see it I fed it frequently to encourage it to stay at the spot.

Yes and no. I moved it to an area the had a depression in the rock workwork so it's foot didn't get any flow but it's tentacles did. Then I fed it a piece of fresh salmon when it opened to hopefully get it to stay... It stayed put for about 3 months but then I switch from koralia's to vortechs and it really changed the flow pattern of my tank and it ended up moving again.

ok, I'll try the music :) and it sounds like feeding it does help once it's where I want it. I'll just leave it be for now.
