    even if you unfreeze it it stays clumped together how do you feed it?

    Put it in a dixie cup of tank water and let it thaw slowly to tank temperature. Pick up the cube, turn off the powerheads, and grind it into smaller pieces between your finger and thumb inside your tank.

    I do something similar - just with a shot glass and tank water.
