how to fix a problem with TAP water.??

    i already have some snails for algie( not sure if they will do).. (5 to be exact) not on the 150 yet since its not cycled and havent got a heater so water is pretty cold.

    How cold is cold? If it's too cold, I would hold off on adding the snails until you get a heater.

    It would be like you standing out in the cold with no clothes on, not fun is it?

    Dont put live animals in there with no heating. If you havent mixed the salt yet, you can drain the water out and fill it with RO/DI or clean water. This will minimize the phosphates in your tank

    the salt was added too. and it is pretty cold.. thats why i have them in my 29 gallon where the temp is good. and plan to add them to the big tank once i get the heater. and draining the water was my first thought. i can just get more salt.. the only problem is that i cant add all the 150 gallons in one day. ( its a 3 day thing since my RO takes 3 days to produce 150) but i might just do that if its better?

    I would. No amount of water changes will ever remove all the tap water.
    Start it out right from the beginning. Don't get in a hurry on any step of building a successful system.
