Search for "John Guess fittings" that's what those are. In Canada you can get them at Home Depot

Well, it sure does not work well like that...

In your Lows/Home Depot/Ace Hardware stores you'll find these fittings somewhere around the PVC fittings. Most generally, they are threaded into the filter housing and can be sealed with either Teflon tape (yuck) or thread sealer (get the bottle labeled for plastic threads). The last ones I purchased were less than $4 each.

Now, if it is not threaded into the body....you have more work to do...for a short period, you could live with out one filter...but see if you can fix it first...

My experience is limited, but all of the one's I've worked with were just pipe threads on one end and the JG fitting...

yeah i just went and checked, thank god. Its just threaded. Didnt even think of that. I thought it was just glued on there, then i would really be skrewed. Well looks like this is going to be an easy repair after all. Thanks a lot for pointing that out guys! k+

It should be standard 1/4" pipe thread threaded into the housing lid with a little treflon tape to seal it. You canget a new one, either in a 90 degree elbow or straight at any hardware store for about $3.

Doesn't matter a normal JG fitting will do just fine. the difference is the way the 1/4 tubing is held in place, that's all
