I'm picking up my first corals tomorrow and I think I need to get my SG up. It's at 1.022 right now is this too low for corals? Whats the best way to get my SG up without killing anything?

Raising it slowly is the way to go. Either mix your top off water with salt and use that(in small amounts) or mix up some saltwater and use a dripline to slowly add it to the tank over a couple days. Just make sure you check pretty frequently to make sure you don't go over the target SG

    yes they will,
thats actually not that bad though
as long as eventually you bring it back up and you correctly acclimate them

I think adding salt to your top off water would be the easiest way to go. Just top off, then let the water mix in the tank for a while, and test the SG. Repeat until you hit your mark. We keep ours between 1.024 and 1.025. I personally think 1.024 is the best SG. It's just a good overall middle ground.

It's safe to add your corals now. They'll be fine. Just don't raise your SG in one fell swoop...that could be bad.

How do you recommend acclimating corals?

Anywhere between 23 and 25 is cool. I used to run 25, but have dipped down to 23 lately. You are not out of line with 22. Just try not to increase by more than .001 per day.
