It's ugly. Have you come across ways people have been covering these up without a canopy?

I kind of like the look of the panels - though they are a bit too blocky. I think the track just ruins the look of it. haha

Aside from putting it in a canopy, I don't know how else you would hide it.

I think I would like this alot better if it was just a straight track that could be hung from the ceiling or attached to a glass pannel like rocketman did on his dual 175's

You could probably make it look a lot better
by adding a nice reef tank underneath it?

    LOL?

if you were really good at welding you could put a car hood designed type of door over the front, you would have to lift the hood to do anything to and or with the light though.

It has to go above this tank on a bare ceiling. Couldn't they see how ugly this thing was?

could you mount the rail upside down and fix it to the ceiling instead of the tank?
that might look slightly better? would probably need to extend the legs tho :/

It does look modular, maybe just cap the ends of the straight parts and suspend it with some wire rope? (assuming it could be done without being too unbalanced)
could then try have some sort of shroud made up like a giant open ended lamp shade and cover it with that

    I see where your going...

People are just getting these, so I'm sure we'll see some creativity going on soon.

What about, getting rid of the track. setup the panels on corners or side of the tank with the panels angled? inwards.

Btw beautiful tank. i know what you mean about them being ugly. i think they look like something put together by lego.
