how to introduce another clown fish to the tank.

    I origionally had a pair but one died a few months back how can I get another one in the tank without them fighting?

    i introduced a second true percula to my tank without issue. im not sure of the other types of clowns, and it could be a 50/50 thing too. if its a territorial thing and you have a sump you can temporarily put the old one in there and reintroduce him to the main tank with the new fish or something.

    Do you know which one was female which one was male? I would assume getting a smaller one if the one you have is female and a larger one if the one you have is male. Im not 100% on this, as this what my LFS told me. I may stand to be corrected.

    the larger is the female and to introduce a new one make sure its alot smaller then the one in the tank. You would have some pushing and what not but it will be showing whos dominant in the tank. the little one will take on the male roll and all should be good in the world.
