I'm still kicking this idea around but it's looking grim with the summer heat being an issue as well. I wish decent heater chiller combos weren't $1000. I think it would be too hard to recoup that money from a business standpoint.

You are going to have to get a chiller or move the tub in the house, no way around it. Cut corners and you just going to make a mess of things.

This project is on hold right now for a variety of reasons. No biggie though because I wasn't looking to be doing this anytime soon anyhow.

Put it in a hot tub! Insulated and heat controlled, bet you could find one used for cheap.

 

I thought of this too but didn't know if salt water would carode some parts inside tub.

 

is there power in garage may be you could heat the garage with a unit heater? Or at least put blue board foam under tub. You will lose a lot of heat thru the concreat. I used a kiddie pool from walmart. Worked great. I put my heater tank type in a pieace of pvc pipe so as not to melt the pool. Not sure if your garage is insulated but a space heater would raise temp in room enough so a tank heater would probaly work. It would also make h2o changes and sraping off dead stuff a lot warmer for you.
