How to know that active carbon need to be replaced??

    How to know that active carbon package need to be replaced ??

    No two tanks are alike,different sizes,amounts of carbon,bioloads,etc.So thats a tough question,i change mine once a month just as routine.When my tank smells,i assume the carbon is spent,but changing monthly,i rarely have bad odors from the tank.

    Being a southeastern Ohio buy, I'm assuming your own smell overwhelms the tanks anyways!;) Have ya tried rubbing carbon on yourself!lol. If ya want a bad odor in your tank that will eventually will eliminate all odors try some microbe lift. Just be ready to leave the house for a day or so! It does work though.

    Trust me, get a bottle of microbe lift, open and pour, and any smell that comes from your body worse than that, tell her she needs to call the coroner and to wake up, cause ya been gone for awhile. If you open it and she doesn't flinch, go to the doctor, because you have roadkill dead inside you!lol. The stuff does work though.
