So my idea was since i have an extra 20gal. tank sittin around i was thinking if it was possible to make that into a coral tank by placing it rite next to the DT and somehow connecting it to the DT. So my tank specs are all listed down below. So would it be possible to take the 20 gallon place it right next to my main tank and somehow connect the 20 so I wouldnt have to buy all new filters and skimmers and do my 72 a FOWLR? I don't know how this would work but lets see what you say about it.

You could just "T" off your return pump and have some of the water go to the 20G. You would then need to drill the 20G and build a simple overflow.

its definitely possible to do, just send the overflow from both tanks to the same sump and have the return flow split between them (or use 2 return pumps one for each tank).

Do you think it would work with my sump rated to 75 gal. and skimmer to 100gal? I would just do two seperate pumps but i dont know how I would do the overflow.

That is how I did it. Drilled a 10 gal for gravity drain into my sump and portioned off part of my return pump into the 10 gal. Piece of cake.
