how to make a filter inside my aquarium?

    hey everyone.......after visiting alot of shops and seen there setups i have thought i might give the fileration method a go.....this is for fresh water only ENLESS use recommend it for marine as well? pls let me know

    i hope everyone knows what im talking about.....i want to build a filter inside my tank(s), i want all filter in the corners of my tanks.........the plan is to put a peice of glass in the corner of the aquarium glass with a few holes for water to run though.......also i think i will need to use a power head.....im not %100 sure if its powerhead or air driven either way i just want to make a filter inside my tank in the corner.....all ideas and comments welcome as i need as many ideas as possible as i dont know where to start!

    Why go to all that work, either A. buy a Hang on back filter OR B. Have a sump with the filters in the sump, i have seen many fresh water tanks with sumps.

    okay i have been thinking i want a sump on my 8x2x2.....Now i dont want to have to drill holes into my aquarium.....how can i have no holes in my aquarium? i dont care about holes in a sump:)
