How to move green polyps

    I have rock with some growing nice but would like to take some and move them to a different area. Whats the best method?

    You should be able to gently cut one off and reef glue it to another rock. Or use the tie method with some fishing line until it attaches naturally, then untie and let it grow.

    Would prying a piece of the rock off with it work too? Im not talking star polyps, I mean reg. ones.

    yeah that would be better because it is attached already, i didn't realize you would be able to break the rock off.

    Try to break off a piece of the rock with thepolyps attached or use a razor blade and scrape off the polyps from their base(stolon) and cut the base to the desired amount of polyps you would like to move.
    Attach using a rubber band or situate them in a piece of rock with reduced flow and eventually the polyps will adhere to the new surrounding.

    Wearing some rubber gloves is always a good idea when cutting/scraping zoa's as some of them contain polytoxins which could be poisonous specially if you have an open wound or something on your hand! ;)

    I pried two small pieces off with a screw driver. I damaged I think two polyps in the process, but the piece I got off is fine
