How to place tubes in fixture

    Agreed.

    Also, I'd put the purple in front over the aquablue. That aquablue is very bright and will drown out the purple IME.

    I have a 4 bulb fixture and I have front to back

    ATI purple plus
    UVL 454
    ATI aquablue special
    UVL 454

    I love that combo. I originally had the purple and aquablue swapped, but tried this and find it to look about twice as good. So I'm sticking with this.

    Will probably be the first time I replace bulbs w/the same ones actually.

    Well I installed the fixture tonight (ATI 6X54 PM). I also got the bulbs you reccommended.

    Wow what a light! It lights up half the room. But I do have it 20" above the tank. I am going to acclimate the corals.

    What do you figure is the optimal height once acclimated?
