I would top off with salt water till it corrects itselft. That should raise it slow enough to not harm anything.

I would just mix it to 1.025 and test your SG each day until its where you want it. Ive done it before, it really should take long. Maybe even shut down the ato for a bit and do it manually till its correct.

Excuse me if I'm reading this wrong, but don't mix salt in your ATO container. Mix it in a bucket and disable you're ATO. Then as the previous posters have stated, top off with that instead RODI water. After you have reached your desired SG, put your ATO back online. Did you start with low SG or did it happen by accident? Since you have an ATO, did you disable it before a WC?

But why can't you use the ato to slowly bring it up?

the ato with salt sounds like a bad idea to me. the way i would do it is shut the ato off and top off with a 1.5 liter bottle of salted water till you get your salinity where you want. be sure to respect the dosage recommended. thats how i would do it.

my sg fluctuates between 1.025 and 26, i used a jar and tallied where 20l of salt worth would be and where 50 would be. this beats weighing the salt every time. its a little less precise but im happy with a fluctuating .025 and 26, depends on my water salt ratio, sometimes i fill the canister to much some times to little.....mueh
