how to remove top brace of tank?

    hi all, i have cut the silicone from the inside and outside of rim but cannot get the top edge of glass cut? any ideas? by the way i have to remove a side lite of glass its broken :-/

    what size tank is it on ? they will all come off you just need to keep cutting the silicone inside and out around the rim band , if its a small tank be better off buying a new one
    Reason being is by time you get the new glass and then a tube of silicone and then all the cleaning and total removing all the glass panels and then rebuilding the entire tank then be ready for lots of work and money..
    You can't safely replace a single panel of glass as silicone will not adhere to old silicone .. and at some point there is always new lapping over old this is always the weak link waiting to blow out or leak ..

    +1. The ENTIRE tank as a whole will need to be resiliconed, or it will leak. Just need to keep that in mind. I wouldnt even bother with it unless its a large, expensive tank

    ok, i see your point but its a brand new tank i got for free and its a 46 bow, i used to do windows and doors so im ok with glass work, thanks for the replys guys and happy reefing.....
