Hi - I've just bought a Phosban 150 Reactor and I want to set it up in my sump. I'm not quite sure how best to configure it for best effect so any ideas welcome please.

Tank is 240L bow-front. Sump is approx 90 L in 3 sections - (1) overflow from tank into 1st section holding the skimmer (2) middle section with chaeto and (3) end section with bio balls and return pump to main tank. In the return line from sump is the UV steriliser.

I was thinking of putting the Reactor inline between return pump and UV steriliser - good idea or not? Return pump is Eheim 1250 (1200 L per Hour I think).

Is it better to run the reactor with it's own pump?

And where should I take the line in to the reactor from and where should I direct the 'out' pipe?

    Thanks v much

Reactors require low flows of less than 80-100 GPH depending on how much media you are using and should be adjustable so the media does not grind intself to dust.
A small powerhead like a MJ400 or mini jet works well or you could tee off the return pump but you will want to watch the flow rate closely if you go that route.
