I put new live sand and new water to my new tank and it has been cloudy like this since sunday.I have my 525 circ pump on and i bought a small hang on back filter just to get this settled.I put the bio magnet in as directed also. This is a 40gal with 40lbs of ls i also put 15lbs of dry rock and 2lbs of lr.This is all i have to put on because my other tank is still setup with all my stuff in it.Is there a clarifier or something i can use or do i just have to wait it out i really want to get this transfer done but if waiting is my only option i can deal with that too.

It will settle eventually. What kind of sand did you use?

Ive done this before. Now I add my sand, put a plate down then put a cup on top of that then and the water into the cup. Usually I use a spare pump and tubing so I can hold the cup still, but doing it like this takes care of that problem. Well, for the most part.

FYI You don't rinse *live sand*!

There's not much you can do now but wait for it all to settle down. Unfortunately a lot of the settling is going to happen on the rock. If I were you, I'd remove the rock and put it into a bin of salt water and wait til your tank settles before returning it.
