Finally got my RO/DI fixed..How do i add the water to the tank which is already setup..Keep in mind that i havent used RO water in my tank every before...

    1) Is it better to add only as top-offs first?
    2) then slowly use RO for WC ?
    3) finally only use RO for any changes in future ?

What should i take care? Will a small change (around 20%) with RO water cause a pH crash

Checked with TDS meter and it shows 15ppm ... Not bad :)

Just use it for topoffs and the water changes from now on. Don't keep using tap.

+1 from now on the only water you add to the tank is RO/DI water for top offs and any water you use to make fresh saltwater for waterchanges should be RO/DI.

IMO you can't start using RO/DI water too fast. Simply use the RO/DI for all water to be added to your tank.

BTW, a properly functioning RO/DI unit will produce 0 TDS water. You might want to check your DI component.

    i 100% disagree

use it as fast as possible, get all the crap out of your tank

you are not going to harm anything by replacing with LESS pollutants

Thanx for all the replies but what do you all do the drain water from the RO unit?

I have 3 tanks in total..2 FW and 1 marine..But i cant use them anywhere

And the unit produces nearly 3 times of drain water than the product water
