    How can I tell if my test kits are bad? I am not sure how old my API kit is. Everything seems fine now but it would suck to find out after a disaster it was bad.

    The date they were bottled is on the bottle itself. The lot number actually.

    For example Lot # abc100510 would be lot abc bottled on oct 5th 2010. The regeants are good for a year after the bottle has been opened. 3-5 years as long as it stays sealed.
