How to turn a standard 75g tank into a 45g long frag tank (chop it in half)

    Just like the title says we took a standard 75g fish tank and drew a level line around it at 12" got out the angle grinder with a diamond tip bit and started cutting. A better tool to use would be a 4" dry tile saw.

    remember safety first, any questions feel free to ask.

    took about to hours to cut the tank with a couple breaks.

    Was the bottom Tempered? No sarcasm here, I don't know and didn't know if you could cut tepered glass?

    Looks great! I would never have the guts to do something like that or the tools, or the know how or a clue - I don't think I should try it but I'm glad it turned out well for you!

    ok what did you use to cut it? This is a cheap frag tank

    Angle grindger with a diamond tip. Im sure it was stressfull, ive drilled holes in 4 tanks now and it never gets easy. Very nice job, so whats the plan for this tank?
