Triggers make a lot of waste. I wouldn't have more than one. You'll just have to pull them out when they get too big. I remember I bought this marron and white snapper. It was no bigger than 2" long within a year he grew to where he was having a hard time turning around in the tank. Granted it was a 12" wide 60 gal tank but wow it blew my mind and when I brought it back to the store I had to give it to him for free because there isn't much of a market for that fish and he has to feed and take care of him until Mr. Right comes in. It hurts a little to give back a fish you watched grow up. Just think about what your tank is going to be like in a year or two and then you can answer your own question. I have a beautiful Sohol tang in my 210 gal tank and I have concerns about how he is getting bigger everyday. I would probably have to tear my reef apart to catch him.

Miniatus get to be over 1' long and requrie 125 gallons, your tank is simply not going to be big enough to house it long term. You could keep a spotted grouper (Epinephelus summana) or a soapfish (Grammistes sexlineatus) as they require ~70 and 50 gallons respectively. But soapfish are dangerous to keep due to their poisonous slime coat that they can release when stressed.

I would just stick with smaller fish. Basslets (aka mini-groupers), wrasses, anthias, dwarf angels or Genicanthus angels...would all be perfect for a community tank.

I commend you for attempting to come up with a fish list before you tank is setup. It's good that you are asking all of these questions. I also think that the advice you have been given is good. Most of the fish you want grow fairly large and are aggressive. What you need to work on is balancing large, medium and small fish. Perhaps have 1 large fish, 2-3 medium fish and 2-3 smaller fish. I think in your sized tank, you could do a puffer, I like smaller puffers such saddle valentini puffers, you could have a trigger, but I would only have 1, then maybe a dwarf angel ( I wouldn't risk more then 1, it can be done, but it's risky as they don't get along very well with other dwarf angels) then maybe some smaller fish such as a Hawkfish or basslets.

I would not do all large fish, you are asking for trouble. I would also be cautious of tangs and triggers, I've seen tangs that have had their fins ripped to shreds by triggers. So in moving forward, do your research, and determine when you will add each fish, which is really important to have a successful tank. Good luck.

alright thanks for the input but maybe instead can i do 2 triggers and cut down on the medium and small fish or would that still be a problem? also what sizes dictate if they are small, medium and large? thanks

if i was going to do 2 triggers which would be a better pair between the humu, niger and clown. If i do 2 triggers am i really going to have that much trouble with them together as far as working in this size tank? thanks

which type of trigger between a clow, humu and niger would be least aggressive and least likely to nip at fins? I would want to put
-Trigger (above are what i am thinking)
    -Sailfin Tang
    -Emperor Angel
    -Coral Beauty Angel
    -Puffer
    -Watchman Gobie
-and some other smaller fish around 3"
How does this list sound? What will and will not work if there is anything wrong?
Would i be able to get away with another medium to large fish or would this be it. any input is greatly appreciated
