    I love the more rock work, gives you more room to put different corals (zoas all over would be nice) Just make sure that theres no dead spots. I used alot of rock in my 10 gallon and it took me a while to place the powerheads cus I kept getting cyano where there was no flow.

    I was about to bring up the plenum aspect to the egg crate. I would leave it since you already have it in. Read the GARF article, it is a good one.

    Another way to prevent rock slides is to buy coral glue and glue all the rock together

    I think Im gonna remove the egg crate. Bummer to tear everything down.

    If you are worried about the glass on the bottom you could use one of those flexable cuttingboards under your rock. They will lay flat on the bottom and then nothing can get under it.

    yeah i was planning on putting the sand after the rock for that reason, prob gonna take out the egg crate, for my sand burrowers and beneficial perks as well.

    I have them under the rock in my tank. I have an acrylic tank and I have not had any problems with using them. I got the idea from another person that was doing the same thing. I have never heard anything negetive about doing it.

    broke it down, removed egg crate, added sand, and rebuilt
