    ammonia 0
    nitrate 10
    nitrite 0
    Salinity 1.026
    Alk: 6.2
    Ph: 8.4
Calcium: ran out so I dont know
    Mag: same with above

My tank is around a month and half old now with 6 fish in there and lots of corals. Why is my alk so low? Im starting to get hair algae and Im starting to see green slime and purple slime algae creating mighty bubble, i thought it was a bubble algae but it was very slimy. I have hair algae here and there pretty short, Im starting to see slime green algae on my orange digita sps frag disc, and purpl ish red slime algae on the other side of the tank. Currently its only like 1 inch big. I wiped it off with a finger.

What do you guys think is happening?

Its a solana 34 gallon tank 20x20x20 with lots of flow from mp10 at reef crest mode with 50% I have around 9 nitrate snail, 2 florida cerith, and aroun 3 dwarf cerith with 1 hermit crab.

    2 juv clown fish
2 purple fire fish almost full grown
    1 midas blenny
    1 yellow watchman goby
    1 pistol shrimp

Im currently buffing with Seachem buffer 8.4 thing that buffs ph and alk.
my alk was 5.2 when i checked it around 1 week and 2 days ago. Got my alk to 6.2 by dossing.

I was using instant ocean salt for my tank, but this has horrible alk, probably calcium and mag too.

Anyway long story short what do you guys think of my water? and any suggestion on what to do?

IMHO your tank is overstocked. That could be the cause to many of the problems you are having. For a 34 gallon tank I think 4 small fish would be the MAX.
That is probably the first step you would want to take. In addtion, waterchanges can drastically help your tank in amazing ways ;)
Then wait to see how it has affected your tank. Hope I could help

I would get a phosphate test and see where they are at.

Start using rodi water, increase your water change volume and frequency and feed less. Siphon out the slime algae, blow off the rocks and siphon the sand. Clean all filters thoroughly and your sump too if you have one.

I forgot about feeding part. I should feed less, I use to feed once in 2 days when I had my previous tank, but seeing a new tank with new fish and stuff, makes me give them food often lol. I been giving 2 per day for a week.

Also Im using ro water for now, hopefully will get di maybe. Im also noticing small bubbles on hair algaes, but I think they are just gas bubbles from the sand bad rising up and getting caught on the hair algaes.

I would increase you clean up crew. Go to reef cleaners and get a custom crew.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
I think you are over stocked with 6 fish, in such a young tank. In an older tank it might be OK, but it's my opinion that the entire system would do better with less of a bio-load regardless of the fishes current size.

The age of the tank is going to make it prone to algae blooms, it's compounded by the bio-load.

Consider using ReefCrystals as well. It will bring those levels up, it did in my Nano.

I am sure in a couple months the system will adjust.

I agree bulk up the cuc

Can I just leave these fishes in here? or should I find a way to take some out?
Also for clean up crews can I just get snails, I remember my hermits ate lots of my snails, mostly cerith's
