    hi everyone
well its been nearly 2 years now and i was looking at some of my first photos when i started all this

    first photo is day 1
then next a couple of months
    and then last photo today

its been a battle of the toughest but have only lost 3 fish and one coral since starting. my first addition to the tank after 4 weeks was my firesrhimp and im happy to say hes still alive and kicking today
my first downfall with this tank was the sand getting nasty after a few days and so added some sand sifting snails. they done bog all so i added a watchman goby and hes happy with our arrangement ad so am i. i have also added 2 pyjama cardinals, a damsel and a matted filefish, hes cool, you can see him on the third photo on the far left hand side, just above the sand level... well ,the front of him anywhoos

would love to make a bigger tank but im a little scared to total up how much extra it would cost....and this has cost a small fortune, i was lucky with some of the corals i bought i would go to the fish store and buy small frags that had grown over off them and all but 1 took to the rocks
hmmm could i use this small tank as a sump and filter, buy some bigger pumps and use a normal tank or would i really need to start again???

    Nice work!
You'd kinda have to start again, but not really. As you said, that tank as a sump/refugium leaving in the sand in it. Get dry rock for the bigger tank & new sand and use the rock from existing tank as your live rock for the new. There'd probably be a small cycle, but not exactly starting over.
